Chee Lam Design
Description
As the flagship store for a new retail jewellery brand, the interior was conceptualized to physically embody, communicate and reinforce the brand’s values and qualities. Employing a curvilinear approach to its display counters and surrounding walls, and elevating the counters above the floor plane, the design creates the illusion of a seamless and barrier-free interior. Designing with a pared back, minimal aesthetic and carefully considered lighting design, the interior uses visual contrast as a means of highlighting and bringing focus to the jewellery. Following the success of the flagship store, a further three stores were completed.

The project was shortlisted in the 2007 Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).
