Star Jewels
Westfield Liverpool
Programme : 2005
Area : 80 sqm
Practice : Toland / CLD (project undertaken at Toland)

Designed as the flagship for a new jewellery brand, Star Jewels’ interior was conceived to embody the brand’s values of refinement, elegance and clarity. Curvilinear forms define both the display counters and surrounding walls, while elevating the counters above the floor plane creates the illusion of a seamless, barrier-free interior.
A pared-back palette and meticulously controlled lighting design provide strong visual contrast, ensuring the jewellery remains the undisputed focal point. The success of the flagship led to the rollout of additional stores.
A Toland Architects project, with interiors led by Chee Lam.
The project was shortlisted in the 2007 Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).
