Located within Pacific Square Shopping Centre, the Maroubra Fish Market underwent a comprehensive transformation to replace an ageing tenancy and introduce a new internal shopfront in addition to its external presence. The concept reimagines the store as a contemporary market, reinforcing accessibility and visibility.

A new internal “street” bisects the tenancy, creating through-access between the external concourse and the mall interior. This intervention not only increases customer exposure but also establishes a strong spatial identity within the centre.

Seafood displays line both shopfronts, activating the new internal thoroughfare, while the cooked offering is positioned centrally. Crisp white arched metalwork at high level provides structure and scale, complemented by mirrored surfaces and warm, tactile finishes below. The result is a vibrant, legible market environment that places the seafood firmly at the heart of the experience.
