Following the completion of Secure Travel’s flagship kiosks in Sydney International Airport’s departure hall, we were engaged to adapt and evolve the established brand environment for its first inline tenancy, located within the arrivals hall on the level below.

With services focused on baggage storage and excess baggage, the brief called for a strong shopfront presence while accommodating substantial back-of-house requirements. The design retains the recognisable brand vocabulary of silver-grey and blue, with curvilinear elements creating a dynamic and engaging frontage, complemented by a large integrated LED screen.

Occupying a prominent corner location, the tenancy presented challenges with competing base-building geometries and architectural elements. A series of carefully considered design datums establishes visual clarity and cohesion, while mirror-reflective surfaces at high level visually dissolve the surrounding architectural irregularities.

The resulting design is a confident evolution of the original flagship concept, translating its distinctive forms and material language into a different retail format. Contemporary, cohesive and immediately recognisable, the new tenancy reinforces Secure Travel’s brand identity and presence within the airport environment.
